Dan's Eagle Project

The Project

Picture
Dan's Eagle Project was a service project to benefit the Maricopa Veterans Center, located in the old Maricopa Library, which is used and managed by Maricopa's American Legion Post 133 and VFW Post 12043. There are many other local organizations which use the facility as well, such as various church groups, recycling organizations, the Maricopa Police Department, Pinal County support groups, the Bailey Box team and other needful organizations.

Daniel's plan was to repaint the Veterans Center porch, including the floor, handrail and eaves.  His plan also included building two, 8 foot long wooden benches to be placed on the porch as well as provide safe smoking receptacles.  His goal was to improve both the appearance of the building, and the functionality of the porch area.
